Questions and answers

Who actually does the work if I contact Wearstreaming Pest Control?

Wearstreaming Pest Control is a referral service. We do not inspect, trap, spray, or treat anything. First, you share a few details. Next, your request goes to an independent provider in our network. Then that provider contacts you, inspects the problem, and gives you a quote in writing. Providers do the work. The provider sets the price and the schedule, not Wearstreaming Pest Control.

Is it safe to stay in my home during pest treatment?

Often, yes. It depends on the product and the method. First, ask the provider what they plan to use. Next, ask whether children, pets, or anyone with asthma should leave for a while. Then ask how long to stay out of treated rooms. Follow the label and the written instructions. If told to, cover fish tanks and put away food and dishes.

What should I expect at the first visit?

First, the provider looks closely at the problem. For pests, that means checking entry points, moisture, and nesting spots. For wildlife, it may mean the attic, crawl space, and roof edges. Next, they explain what they found. Then you get a price and a plan. Ask for the quote in writing. A damp basement or an older frame house may need extra checks.

How do I choose a pest control provider?

Use a short checklist. Ask if the provider is licensed in your state. Ask for proof of insurance. Ask what the quote includes and what it leaves out. Ask what follow-up visits cost. Compare at least two written quotes. Wearstreaming Pest Control cannot check a provider's license for you, so confirm it yourself before you agree to any work.

How much does pest control cost?

Prices vary by job. In the U.S., a one-time general pest visit often runs about $100 to $300. Wildlife removal commonly runs $200 to $800 or more. Termite treatment is usually higher, often $1,000 to $2,500 or more. Home size, pest type, and repairs all change the price. Get a quote in writing before work starts.

Does homeowners insurance cover pest or wildlife damage?

Often not for the pests themselves. Many policies treat termite and rodent damage as a maintenance issue. Some policies may cover sudden damage, such as a fire from chewed wiring. Check your policy or ask your agent. Providers can often help document damage with notes and photos for a claim. Wearstreaming Pest Control cannot say what your policy covers.

Can I handle mice or ants myself first?

For a few ants or one mouse, maybe. First, clean up crumbs, seal small gaps, and fix leaks. Snap traps can work for a few mice. Stop and get a provider if you see many droppings, rats, bats, termites, or bed bugs. Wear gloves near droppings. Never poke a wasp nest or corner a wild animal.

What happens after I request an estimate?

First, send the form, or request a callback to check provider availability. Next, Wearstreaming Pest Control routes your request to an independent provider in our network. Then the provider contacts you to set up an inspection. You read the quote in writing and decide. There is no obligation to hire anyone. Call hours vary by provider, so a form may be easier at night.
